The GIANT Company Makes a Big Impact on Kids Health

For a quarter of a century, The GIANT Company has supported the life-saving work of children’s hospitals. Through in-store fundraising efforts their support has helped eight local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across four states fund their most urgent needs.

Children’s Hospitals are on the frontlines when it comes to protecting the health of future generations, but they can’t do it alone.  Partners like GIANT make it all possible. When a customer donates through GIANT, that dollar goes directly to their local children’s hospital allowing that hospital to improve treatments and facilities, address the most challenging health issues of today, while preventing and preparing for those to come.

We are thrilled to announce that The GIANT Company, in collaboration with their customers, vendors and associates – will support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals with more than $2.5 million of collective support in 2022. This year’s contribution brings the company’s lifetime giving to more than $50 million since becoming a corporate partner in 1996!

This milestone is the culmination of millions and millions of small acts of kindness. Much of the $50 million has been raised one dollar at a time from generous GIANT customers through the purchase of Miracle Balloons or rounding-up their total at the register. All funds have stayed local to the CMN Hospital in their community and region. This includes a total of over $358,000.00 for UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.  

Surpassing the $50 million fundraising milestone is a tremendous testament to The GIANT Company commitment to the communities they serve.  Each year, more sick kids need the custom care that children’s hospitals provide than can afford it.  The support of GIANT means kids and families are supported through the toughest time in their lives, ensuring they have everything they need to feel stable, comfortable and prepared for what comes next.
